Children & Youth
Our work with young people and families
Working with children, youth and families is an important part of CBC. We seek to teach children and young people Biblical truths and how to live these out in their daily lives. We love to help children and young people enjoy meeting in their groups and learning about God and how we should respond to him.
We have a range of groups, which meet regularly both on Sundays and midweek, for children and young people to help enjoy learning about Jesus and to take part in a wide variety of activities with their friends. They range from games in our dedicated Youth Room to wide games on the Surrey Hills and from moveable feasts to Bake-Off special events! Nice.

Protection of the children in our care is very important to us, so we have a clearly defined child protection policy.

Sunshine Group (0-3)
Sunshine Creche: Sunday: Toys and leaders available to keep your young one entertained or stay settled while you listen to our talk in the main hall.
Sunshine Toddlers: Monday @ 10:15 – 11:30: A wide variety of toys and activities for your young child to enjoy, including a baby area, craft zone and space for older ones to be more mobile.
Fireflies (Age 3 – Year R)
Sunday: An interactive session to help the children explore truths from the Bible.
Sparklers (School Years 1-3)
Sunday: Fun and interactive sessions to help learn more about God and how to live like Jesus did.
...and Thursday @ 5:15 – 6:15: A jammed packed and active evening of games, refreshments, craft and Bible thought. A great place to make new friends, play games, create a craft and learn about God. Can we fit that all into 1 hour? Come along and find out!

Spotlight (School Years 4-6)
Sunday: A great place to learn more about God using games, videos and discussion! Interactive sessions that help us see the same God from the Bible loves us today!
...and Thursday @ 6:30 – 7:30: Is there a place that provides games and activities yet still gives me insight to what God is all about? Short answer: Yes! Long Answer: YYYYYYYEEEEEESSSSSS! Spotlight on Thursdays is an active evening where children have opportunities to enjoy organised games, crafts and stories from the Bible. On your marks, Go!

Ignite (School Years 7 – 10)
Sunday: A time of games and Bible discussion.
...and Friday @ 7:00pm – 8:00pm: A chance to hang out in our Youth Zone at CBC. With table tennis, pool, table football and a games room, young people can chill, play and chat in a safe environment where they can make new friends, grow in fellowship with each other and hear what God is like from the Bible.

Blaze (School Years 10 - 13)
Sunday @7:30pm: A chance to hang out and study the Bible, ask questions and get to know God more.
... and Friday @ 8:00pm – 9:00pm: A chance to come together with the Ignite gang and hang out in our Youth Zone at CBC. With table tennis, pool, table football and a games room, young people can chill, play and chat in a safe environment where they can make new friends, grow in fellowship with each other and hear what God is like from the Bible.
